Am I too young/old to Fly?
Probably not! If you are at least 15 years old, you can flyboard. However, if you’re under 18 you will need your parent’s consent. Flyboarding is popular with folks of all ages. In fact, we’ve flown people into their 70’s!
CAN WE BRING ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES?
Fly Guys wants you to have FUN! But, we also want you to be safe. Please do not consume any alcohol prior to your flight, but, if you want to enjoy an adult beverage after your flight – that’s fine. In fact, if yours is the last flight of the day, we may even join you!
CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE LARGE GROUPS?
Absolutely! The more the merrier! You can even book us for the entire day so all your friends can come. Just give us a call for your custom package.

How does Flyboarding work?
A 60 foot hose connects your flyboard to a jet ski being ridden by one of our certified instructors. The propulsion of the jet ski sends water through the hose, propelling you into the air. The instructor controls your height based on your skill and experience, guaranteeing a fun, safe flight
How High Can I Fly?
How high do you want to fly? This really depends on you. It’s all at your comfort level. If you want to fly 5 feet or feel comfortable getting as high as 40, it’s all up to you. But, we will never have you fly higher than we feel is safe for you. The better you get, the higher you will be able to fly. And, with a little practice, you may decide that instead of spending all your time in the air, you’d rather do a little underwater flying – dolphin-style!
How long will it take me to learn to Flyboard?
The average person takes 3-7 minutes to learn the basic maneuvers. If you have experience with any sports that require balance, you will learn much quicker. Each time you come back we’ll help you improve your skills until you can safely perform all the tricks you want.
Is Flyboarding Safe?
Yes, our professional, certified instructors have many hours of lessons under their belts before they are allowed to teach the public. Instructors are in complete control of the flier to ensure their
safety at all times. Before even getting into the water, we take our guests through safety and equipment instruction as well as fit them for a life jacket and helmet. Fly Guys is licensed and insured.
Is there a height or weight limit?
There is no height limit to flyboard with us and we can fly people up to 300 lbs. It is recommended that you have a minimum shoe size of a women’s 5 and weigh at least 100 lbs. We do have booties for smaller feet to help you fit into the bindings more comfortably and can still fly people that exceed or don’t meet these weight recommendations on a case by case basis.
What if the water is cold?
Well, other than the known affects of cold water (guys, you know what we’re talking about!) there is no reason not to flyboard no matter the season.
We will provide you with a wetsuit to ensure you have a comfortable flight – even in the dead of winter when it gets down to a chilling 70 degrees outside! That’s why Fly Guys chose San Diego to open our business, because, in Paradise, you can flyboard all year long!
WHAT IS YOUR REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY?
If your flight happens to be booked on one of the few days that we have bad weather and we cannot reschedule, then we will provide you a full refund. In all other cases, you must notify us 48 hours before your scheduled flight of your cancellation to receive a full refund minus the initial deposit. Any cancellations within 48 hours of your flight or no-shows are non-refundable.
Anyone who shows up intoxicated for Flyboarding will be unable to participate and will not be issued a refund.
We reserve the right to cancel an activity without a refund if you misuse the equipment, put yourself, other guests, or employees in danger or if you do not listen to your guide/instructor. If you decide to stop the tour due to fear of water or the activity, we are not required to refund your money. Anyone that comes to participate in a water activity with us must know how to swim. No refunds will be issued to those who cannot swim and choose to opt out of an activity that they reserved.
